​DFG Wealth (DFG) is a Mornington-based financial advisory firm with a progressive, unique approach. When they first contacted PIER, they felt that their brand identity, website, and overall marketing activity felt tired and haphazard – it was hardly reflecting the modern, approachable philosophy they were striving for. Lacking the time and expertise to take their marketing and design to the next level, but knowing just how important these elements are in attracting their ideal clients and drawing in new quality leads, DFG handed the reins over to us. We, in turn, overhauled everything.

​We kicked things off with an insightful discovery session, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of DFG’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis). We then dove deep into their service offering, unique selling proposition (USP), target audience, and business objectives. This initial deep-dive into DFG’s mission and identity formed a solid foundation for us moving forward.  

​Next came a thorough marketing audit. This allowed us to understand where the business was at (we also analysed some minor marketing activity that was happening in the background) before developing a full marketing strategy. Within this strategy, we addressed the 7 Ps of Marketing, their target audience, brand positioning, the wider financial advisory market, and created a tactical action plan. 

​Our approach? We focussed on DFG’s unique point of difference when developing their strategy and new brand identity. The firm is self-licensed, which means that clients receive bespoke advice and solutions tailored to their unique financial goals. This USP was a game-changer, as not many financial advisors offer such a customised service. Naturally, we did what we could to exploit this. We developed a new logo and branding, featuring rounded, bold, lower-case typography to communicate warmth and approachability, and a warm, navy blue colour palette to exude trust and professionalism. 

​Bringing the new branding to life in the physical space, we created a range of DFG business stationary items, and bringing it to life in the digital realm, we designed and developed a brand new, user experience-focused website.
